An Amazing Husband!!!
For those of you who have been reading my blog, you may remember that a couple of months ago I wrote a post where I answered random questions about myself in a word or two. One of the questions was about a wish list item and my answer was “a kitchen table.” Despite the grief Andy gave me about this answer and how much fun he made of me for having a kitchen table as my top desire, he followed through with my wish. Yesterday he went out to “look for new jeans” and came back with a brand new kitchen table as a surprise for me. I love it!!! I am so excited about it for the following reasons: it is bigger than our previous table and will serve us well with two children and entertaining guests, it is beautiful and matches our decor, and it doesn’t have all the wear and tear of the table that we have been using for the past 7 years. My husband is amazing!!! I am so thankful for his generosity with me and that he shares with so many others around him.
A Waiting Game
Andy helped me realize that it has been almost a month since my last post!!! Wow! I guess that I really have been “nesting” quite a bit lately. I am two days past my due date at this point and anticipating Ashton’s arrival any time. There are several things (besides meeting our baby boy face to face and loving him even more) that I am looking forward to when not pregnant any more:
1. Not looking as big as a house. (I found a picture on my brother’s facebook the other day from a couple of years ago, and I have to say that I was very impressed with the way I looked a that point. I can’t wait to get back to a normal size!)
2. Having clothes that fit. At this point even my maternity pants are VERY tight and my shirts are too short.
3. Being able to shave my legs regularly. It’s been a while since I could reach to shave very well.
4. A good night’s sleep (I guess it will still be awhile before this happens.)
5. Eating a meal without suffering from indigestion a few minutes after finishing.
6. No more back pain.
